About Dr. Arjen de Jong

Arjen de Jong is a Dutch aerospace engineer and physicist based in New York. He holds a PhD in aeroacoustics and has worked at NASA, Ferrari, and Porsche. He is specialized in the design and manufacturing of cleanroom systems for the semiconductor and aerospace industry—where air quality is not a luxury but a critical variable.

His work has earned awards for breakthrough innovations in airflow design, materials, and manufacturing. Driven by the mission to bring clean air to human health, Dr. de Jong founded AirTulip to apply aerospace-grade airflow to the sleep environment.

He invented AirTulip Sleep—a headboard that creates a silent, clean air zone around the upper body using laminar flow and medical-grade filtration. It’s a controlled environment for recovery, immune health, and long-term wellness. As it does not mix with the room air, it shields you entirely from air pollution right where you sleep.

As seen on Shark Tank, Dr. de Jong demonstrated his technology inside a life-sized smoke-and-laser test chamber, showing the invisible clean air zone in real time. He continues to educate and push the conversation forward around measurable air quality and its role in high-performance living.
