Scott Shortmeyer, a committed husband and father, is a seasoned corporate leader and 'everyday athlete'. His life changed drastically when he suffered from severe burnout, hormonal imbalances, and mental health issues. This led Scott to a holistic and functional healing approach, aligning with his values and objectives. Realizing the importance of this journey, he vowed to help men manage their health to avoid similar struggles.
In his quest, Scott launched the Rest & Recovery Podcast, emphasizing the often-overlooked significance of rest and sleep. Through over 140 episodes, he aimed to educate and empower listeners to lead fulfilling lives. This experience reinforced his dedication to health and service, leading him to become a certified Functional Health Practitioner (FDNP).
Scott's mission is to guide clients towards better health and wellness, ensuring they can be their best for themselves and their families. As a functional health practitioner, he caters to two main groups: athletes and business professionals. For athletes, from casual enthusiasts to elite professionals, he uses personalized data to enhance performance, recovery, and injury prevention. For business professionals, his approach addresses stress management, cognitive function, and energy sustenance.
Ultimately, whether working with athletes aiming for peak performance or business professionals seeking sustainable health, Scott's goal is to improve well-being and help them thrive during their prime years.
