Frequency: For low Sunshine Vitamin levels: Up to 5 times per week. For maintaining Sunshine Vitamin levels: 2-3 times per week. For red light therapy benefits: 3-5 times per week.
Session Duration for UVB Benefits: For light skin tones: 3-5 minutes per session. For mid-skin tones: 5-10 minutes per session. For dark skin tones: 10-15 minutes per session.
Eye Protection: UVB Mode: Always wear protective eyewear. The product includes two pairs of glasses (Orange and Black). The orange glasses allow more light to pass through your eyes. Red Light Therapy: Recommended but not necessary.
Safe Distance: Maintain a safe distance of 16 inches from the lamp during use.
Clothing: UVB light does not penetrate clothing, so expose the desired areas. Red and NIR light can penetrate clothing but is mostly absorbed by it, so it's best to expose the skin.
Safety Precautions: Use the proximity sensor to ensure safe distance. Follow the same precautions as with moderate sun exposure (for a complete list, see the Mitolux website). Do not use on people who have had cancer or are suspected of having cancer. Do not use if your doctor has advised you to avoid sun exposure.
